After sending the 39 knitted sculptures which make up the original Red is the colour of.... installation to New Contemporaries in March for the second round of selection, I knitted more than 40 similar long, thin sculptures. I have called them Red is the colour of.... 2.
Here I installed them enveloping and pouring out of an antique Danish chest of drawers that I have inherited from my parents, who both died in 2021. These sculptures vary slightlyfrom the original ones, as many of them have knitted holes in them.
