On World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP), June 11th 2022, I spent the day knitting in public! I set up a banner, saying 'SOCIAL KNITWORK', and multiple red, knitted sculptures in and around a tree on a busy street corner in Bath. I then sat and knitted, inviting passers by to knit with me or just to chat. One person asked me to teach him to knit, a couple of others brought their knitting to show me and knitted with me. Many other people came to see what was happening and joined in the conversation -about knitting, life, the universe and everything.
